What customer research did for three brands.

Three brands from our own agencies, before RetainerFree, anonymised. Each time we did what your playbook does: found out what customers really cared about, then rebuilt the ads, and the page where it needed it, in their words.

Anonymised work from our own agencies, using the research method this playbook is built from. Results vary from brand to brand. What the playbook gives you is the same method, not a promised number.

Case 1

A women's intimacy brand

$30k to $100k

a month in revenue, in four months

What they were doing
Selling the product mainly on its health benefits, and missing angles their customers cared about.
What the research found
We read their reviews, their competitors' reviews and women's forums, and found many angles they weren't using. The biggest: lots of reviews said the product had helped save their marriage. That's a deep emotional outcome, not just a health one.
What we changed
We rebuilt the landing page, every ad and the video scripts in their customers' own language, tied to the outcomes they actually wanted.
What happened
Revenue went from $30,000 a month to $100,000 a month in four months.

Case 2

A Viking jewellery brand

£10k to £60k

a month in revenue, in five months

What they were doing
Selling features: stainless steel, high quality.
What the research found
Their customers cared about their Viking heritage, and wanted jewellery that honoured it.
What we changed
We rebuilt the landing page and the ads around that heritage, in their customers' words, instead of guesswork.
What happened
Revenue went from £10,000 a month to £60,000 a month in five months.

Case 3

A headrest brand

Above 6x

return on ad spend on both statics, over 30 days

What they were doing
Selling the headrest's features: how big it is, how long it takes to install, how adjustable it is.
What the research found
Deep research showed what most of their customers had in common: a stiff neck after working at a desk all day, and a wish for ergonomics they'd feel every day.
What we changed
We made two static ads on those pain points, in the words customers were already using online, instead of the features.
What happened
Over 30 days, both statics ran above 6x ROAS. ROAS is return on ad spend: the sales your ads bring in, divided by what you spend on them. Above 6x means more than six times the ad spend came back in sales.
The lesson
There's a massive difference between selling features and selling the outcome and the pain relief people get. The words that sold were the ones users were already saying online.

What this means for you

The same method, in your hands.

None of these brands needed a cleverer ad. They needed to know what their customers actually cared about, and to say it in their words.

Your playbook is built the same way: research on your customers first, then fixes for your page and plans for your ads in their language. The difference is that you run it, and you keep it. Want to see what your customers are already saying? Start with a free teardown.
